Both the forecast on internet and TV is 25-30 degres Celsius next week. It will be a sweaty trek, wich I prefare before cold and rain. Next week we will see. Have two extra spare battery to my Samsung Note 1, a power bank and a battery-box for charging. That is for to secure my updating of my blog. Have tested some solar cell, but they was not working good. I have missed the "shit spade". Hope to completting it in Nikkaloukta.

Cabbage roll

Today I completed the backpack with the missing things besides fresh bread and the T-red (dangerous goods) which will be purchased in Nikkaloukta. Have wrapt in the backpack with rain cover and it will hopefully clear the conveyor belts without damage. Results a 20 kg heavy "cabbage roll" and a fisch casingl filled with hiking poles.
Has identified my "enemies" the most dangerous first

  1. Osteoarthritis
  2. Backs Faith
  3. Bad weather
  4. Cold
Has since January 1, passed 1400 km to strengthen my knees. Now I can climb stairs or a hill without pain in my knees. A contributing factor may be that I stopped eating tablets for blood lipids.

Has had a cold now in a week and a half, however, on the mend.

The third times

After a lot o problems its now time next week to climb Kebnekaise. My yongst son Samuel will join me. The plan is that leave home in Bålsta early in the morning at 21st of July and setup our tents in the evning at Kebnekaise mountain station.

Problems with left thigh

The problem with the left thigh has increased, which means that I had to stop training in mid december. Was also thoroughly cold between Christmas and New Year. Began to swim and ride a bike in the beginning of January. Got huge pain in the left hip. Yes now well worn out! Made contact with the family doctor and got an appointment immediately 9/1 and the drop in radiology in Enköping 10/1.The doctors could not find any explanation for my pain. Has been with two physiotherapists who twisted and turned and squeezed and pressed my leg. Without being able to find any reason for my bad left thigh.
Has rested the rest of January. In February, I have gone short morning and evening walks with our dogs Lisa and Mindre (smaller in Swedish) and started stretching in the morning. Today 18/2 is discomfort there, but I go unhindered.
Have been to the urologist for follow-up of PSA value, which again was immeasurable ie, less a 0.1. At the same time, I brought up the pain in my left thigh. It may be that something are pressing on the nerves after the surgery. Therefore am I on the X-ray 27/2 to check it out. He said also if so then do nothing about it!
Despite this, I have not given up, but plan to in one way or another implement my project this summer. Got my crampons, which you need when you go to Kebnekaise glacier, for some weeks ago. Because of no exercise, I have high sugar levels and my weight is in an increasing trend. Must ensure that there is a positive change soon.

Status report

Time to announce the current situation. I was in for prostate surgery on August 28. Slept badly that night, not because of upcoming surgery, but the bed neighbor, because he snored. I measured up 80-83 decibels with my smartphone. Anesthetized at 12AM on Wednesday and woke up after surgery at 4AM. After new snoring nights I went home Friday afternoon. Removed stitches and the catheter after 13 days. The following of conduct were:
  1. Nip exercises with the objective to control urine.
  2. Walking to increase the condition.
  3. Start exercising at the earliest after a month.
  4. Biking earliest after 3 months.
The nip exercises has given the result that I do not use diapers since mid-November.
Has gradually increased my dog walks morning- and evening-session to more than 3 km respectively from the end of September.
Begun swim in early October, and from the end of October I swim three times a week and 1300 m each time. Now today, I have done the first bike workout on the exercise bike in a small cottage in 45 minutes, ie a Star Trek program. Plan to bike three times a week and gradually  increase the cycle exercises to 60 km each on the first half of 2013.  Have 83 Star Trek DVDs with 4-6 program per DVD. Think they are enough.
Only cause for concern is that I have a pain in left legs. Should visit the physiotherapist on Thursday for this. I plan to start the ride to Nikkaluakta Monday after Midsummer 2013.
